The Software Development Community of Practice (CoP) at the University of Notre Dame aims to bring together campus members to share knowledge of modern development practices, best coding techniques, and innovative solutions for software development. This CoP will foster collaboration, drive continuous improvement in our development pipelines, and enrich our knowledge by sharing experiences with methodologies, various technologies, and other emerging trends.
Objectives:
- Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration: Facilitate the exchange of technical knowledge, methodology, and project experiences.
- Best Practices: Identify, describe, and share experiences around best coding practices, design patterns, and tools for software development activities.
- Innovation: Encourage innovation in software architecture, testing and deployment methods, and the use of modern and emerging technologies to enhance the University environment.
- Professional Development: Provide opportunities for professional growth and development through technical talks, and training on new technologies and techniques as well as sharing information about projects of mutual interest.
The Software Development Community of Practice is open to anyone across the University of Notre Dame campus who engages in software development activities (e.g., coding, testing, system design) or is interested in learning about software development.
